A Fictional Event 'cuz It Can't Happen Here
Here’s the plan, from my military objective in my little room with the Tonka toy tanks and army men of plastic, perched upon a map of the United States, showing the location of know equipment and troops.
Most states declaring
they want their “ National Guards” brought home to be at the call of the governors,
but the Feds and the President refuse in the face of the argument that the
guard was designed for each states self-protection. Sadly these states are left
unprotected, were they smart they would begin to form militias from their
citizenry, selecting Veterans to carry it out. Just to make sure that they were
not caught unguarded in a scheme of the federal government ignoring their
claims to self regulate under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights with in
it. None wanting to admit the possibilities brewing in their own states, a
place it can’t happen.
We have Northern Command, activated by President Bush, it put the US Army
on stand by with troops training reportedly with law enforcement to learn how
to operate as civilian law enforcement, so the report was in the “Military
Times” web site. At the same time little bitty towns of 1300 residents are
getting multimillion dollar Cobra helicopters, fully automatic rifles, Humvees
with M249 turret machine guns armored to withstand IED road bombs and the
list goes on. These towns can't afford a used ambulance much less a fill up of
JP-5 aircraft fuel. They are outfitted 18-wheelers with top line communications
and radar systems painted up with fancy civilian schemes, but still marked
"emergency command post”. There's more but lets stop here, as it is the
military training law enforcement to utilize war level equipment. Why?
Something is amiss I fear as I watch the puzzle pieces laid down.
There is a standing order by Obama, placing the US under an Emergency
"pandemic out break" for swine flue. It was never dismissed, like a
spiders web it hangs over America’s head.
I noticed in my studies we have an authorized "Presidential Army"
hidden in the health bill, I ponder the meaning and reason for this. It answers to the Surgeon General first and
the president second. Why of all things, another Army created in the middle of
an atmosphere of a myriad of military forces seen and unseen such as the CIA.
Our president snubbed our closes allies, and then bowed to the floor to those we need watch. He has set idly by as Iran has created weapons grade nuclear material enough for two bombs to date, never lifting an eyebrow in this case.
Thus creating an atmosphere favoring the Muslims who would see us all dead. It then comes out that he is a Muslim himself. Word on the ground he is of a CIA background of the 1980’s where he learned fluent languages to communicate in that world, embedded with the Taliban, and Al Queda, fighting Russia, ultimately aiding there loss of that war. In return now, Russia is sleeping with Iran and North Korea against America, and who could blame them as the war broke their back. It tumbled them financially like a house of cards.
Since the inauguration
it’s been pus, push, push, we must pass this bill and that bill and bail out
Wall Street, then catch the banks we like while watching other fail. America is
now pushed to the limit with debt to the sky that breaking the backs of its
citizens has got to be nigh!
We now have a toxic condition in the gulf, from the oil spill. People
getting sick from it, due to the toxicity of dispersants and other thing used
to try feebly to make it go away. Too little too late, the response was slow
and resembled a strong lack of determination to fix a problem that is beginning
to appear as an intended consequence as news comes out that the well was
drilled intentionally into the side of an active volcanic hot bed. Instead of
straight down into the top, that would cause an immediate and violent release,
it was done sideways to create a controllable event as I see a planned part of
the puzzle of life. The company held responsible in the media went about
business as usual instead of a direct approach at a capping off of the well, in
conjunction with skimming the oil. Aid
from countries around the globe was repeatedly refused until the spill had
reached the desired level of havoc.
We have FEMA and homeland security buying blocks of half the capacity of
hotels/motels 200 miles inland.
Why? What does all this
mean to you and me?
Here's my guess:
Mandatory mass evacuation of the Gulf States due to illness from the oil and
chemical dispersants will begin soon pushing folks out of homes and businesses
and stuffing them in motels.
Over populating these areas. Grocery stores running dry as a result, not enough
food or other items people require to live at the standards they have come to
know. People living in places provided, where they have no way to cook meals,
getting tired of governmental excuses and lunch meat bread and chips. The result
is "people being severely pissed off". Riots break out, civil
authorities are called in; they can't handle it, they are being over powered,
as a result military troops are called in to bail them out. Then Martial Law is
declared with curfews, door-to-door weapons confiscation begins to take place,
people accepting and allowing any and all rights to be trampled they just want
the insanity to stop, not realizing that they are giving away their second
amendment rights, the one thing that was provided to help in this hour.
The smart ones gathering their guns and ammo and what food and water they can carry under the cover of darkness they jump rural fences and other obstacles in their way, running for the country where they might hide and wait it out, to watch what unfolds. They run into others and start planning away, that they might overcome the people-eating machine.
Military helicopters the
Cobras and Apaches with spot lights circle the perimeter hunting for dissenters
in the dark, attempting to stop them with warnings until units arrive to take
them into custody, then ship them off to a FEMA camp where they can be
reconditioned or maybe something more sinister, they have on their minds.
In Other areas of this country, little planes start to fly over small
towns at first, spraying swine flue and it spreads from town to town as people
travel about, a pandemic flue out break is declared on the evening news across
the nation to folks who numbly watch, with the “glad it’s you and not us”
attitude that comes with complacency. A
pandemic emergency, the towns are blockaded limiting entrance, barring exit,
with need of more troops the presidential army is activated and it consists of the
youth from ROTC high schools and colleges, They have a bendable mind and in a
matter of weeks of training they are converted by military standards to answer
all orders, that they are given with out questioning the right or wrong of the
assignment that has been lain down. Seems like the equivalent of Hitler’s Brown
Shirts on the streets, eh? More door-to-door weapons confiscations are performed in
these small sick cities and towns.
Grocery stocks are depleted, they air drop cases of MRE's to feed these folks.
They are scared, handing over their guns and ammo in trade for an answer they
desperately seek.
It becomes sick people everywhere scared and in need of medical care that
they only get if they sign on and allow home invasion searches, they don’t like
the circumstances so they sell their souls, for a cure to this madness that has encased them this day.
It has come down to by now that much of America is disarmed to a manageable level the rest are
told to comply or die. Hopes for many are dashed, but in the hills and forests
there are the ones you all called crazy who prepared for this day.
Then what happens next? Will the underground fail? Or will it be like the
one across the seas during another world war that seems so far away, and rise
in ranks and become victorious saving the day? What of our troops in
Afghanistan and Iraq? Will they cease operations and use the tools in their
grasp, setting sail for their homeland in the ships on the seas, the Air Force
giving way to refuelers in the air, bringing plane loads of war honed patriots
to the rescue?
I hope and shout this fiction never comes true, but how will YOU sleep tonight wondering if you have what it takes?

You have what I hope is the makings of a fantastic novel. I pray that you have a best seller here and nothing more, but I also have to say that I am very, very worried about where the insanity that is happening now will end.

I think you have created a clearer picture by connecting some of the dots we can see. I don't know exactly which way this is all leading, and I have to agree that BO is not as dangerous as he appears to be (although he is certainly being used by people way more powerful than him), but it is certainly leading toward the destruction of believers and independents and individualists.
I have a 4x4 truck now, and next year I will get a handgun and the year after that I will get a rifle and hopefully by that time I will be off the grid, but who knows. The Lord may lead me to Europe, back to my roots and then I won't have the freedoms I enjoy now, but I will trust Him no matter what the circumstances. He has a plan for each of us to fit into His greater plan for him and all of us.
But it is good to be watchful, the Bible says so. It also says that believers should flee to the mountains when we see certain signs, so it is good to be prepared. I know you are!
All this to say, great eye opener. Your hub is like another piece of the puzzle and puts me on guard. I really like W. Bush, I think he truly tried to do the right things. But one of the things that always bothered me and continues to is that the State forces and the Coast Guard were all required to go overseas. This is dead wrong. But it makes sense in a way because the Reserves and the Nat. Guard both receive the exact same training that Federal troops do. So it is I who has been blind to think that state troops could not be engaged in national level battles.
I feel that states have completely lost their independence for all intents and purposes. The federal government was meant to protect and serve the states. Why is it now in charge of education and taxes? Although I feel that I may someday be involved in defending the constitutional US from the NWO or whatever sleazebag government is in power in the US, I also feel that it is probably a hopeless battle because we are so close to the end times. But that won't prevent me from defending what's right! Jesus did tell us to take weapons - enough it seems to defend yourself and those that can not defend themselves.
I am looking forward to learning karate and buying a handgun. This country is worth defending.

I took a lot of fact here and in one of my beer in the hammock days I felt this plan come to mind, a what would I do if I wanted to be king of this land, how would I get it done and this plan though fictitious, I believe to be quite possible.
Buy a rifle! first, it will serve you well in times of need. Be it rabbit or deer as you forage for food, or the worst at a distance not 30 ft away. "the only thing a pistol is good for is fighting your way back to the rifle, you should never have laid down in the first place"(boot camp USMC 1969) Those words still fresh in my mind these pert near 40 years later. Hey there 50. This may now be fictitional but it could also be a very great possibility. Maybe not in this time but certainly in the future.
We know that to control the food and water is to control the people. Here in Australia they are doing a great job.They have poisoned the rabbits and closed off most of the fishing places here due to enviornmental issues. Talking about us needing a licence to kill our own animals on the farm, etc Subsidising city folks to put in rain water tanks. This way they know who has them and how much water they can hold for tax purposes. For those of us on the land they have calculated how much water our catchment dams hold, also for tax purposes and the same goes for bores irrigation etc.
Each little thing that they implement is just another right we lose but like you said no one thinks much of it until it affects them personally. After the Port Douglas massacre all our guns were taken off us. Most people think this has been a great thing. We can own a gun if we can prove that we need one but in this way they have it controlled also. Trouble is they have no control over the black market.
My husband has always said that the only reason that the Japanese didn't win here was because the civilians also had guns and they used them.

Loves To Read, I was aware of the gun grab and the crime statistics in Australia, but the change of all you listed has surprised me. you said "We know that to control the food and water is to control the people." that is so true and I failed to mention reference to that, if they go house to house they will confiscate all emergency rations as well of excess food and water. There has been much discussion of late over escape and evasion techniques to flee a city for those who still reside there. The survivalist board I belong to is readying them selves by hiding and burying there things outside the cities so they might try and get out then have things to live on. I've heard the Japs didn't invade our shore due to the arms that civilians owned.

You are one deep thinker. Sad to say, I can actually picture this happening. The Alinsky strategy these progressives use is to overwhelm the system so it collapses. Sheri, I just left your hub on Holder, and I have to say, we are really going down the path of self destruction. Folks will cry "I had nothing to do with it" and sadly that will be fact. They didn't do a damn thing to stop what is apparent and happening right now in our faces. While fiction is what I've created here, history of all types has been fiction long before it became truth. I'm referring to all types of fiction not just political based, but mutating of plants and animals, space stations and so much more. America is waste deep in shit and I'm afraid folks will wait until their up to their chin in it and then making waves will top their heads in it. 50 Caliber, I don't have the connections or all the information you have, but I have read a lot about the "takeover" of the world...I have also written about some of these things in "my thoughts on the future" hub...a connection with God is our first survival tool...and anything He tells us to do will be essential...seems sad that we should be afraid of our fellow American...I have enjoyed all of your articles and even read two of them to my husband last night...we are in agreement that the times are strange.
50 Caliber, you may be the futurist and soothsyer sage that America needs to heed. You painted a pretty dismal and scary scenario of a doomed USA and I pray it remains a frightening piece of fiction. We had a similar novel written years ago by a futurist. At the time in Quebec Canada we were faced with bombings and rioting in our streets by the anti English federalists. They threatened with mailbox bombings, beatings of English people and more.
A novel was written showing the English people of Quebec being hanged in the streets of Montreal, lined up and shot and bloodshed pouring like rain from English speaking people of Canada. Thankfully it ended and calmer heads prevailed. However the book was so real it made every English speaking person in our country stand up and take notice.
I pray for America that sanity will prevail and none of this you write about will come to pass. Peace brother.
Enlydia Listener, I totally agree that our God is the first place we should seek our answers as it will be as it has been, his planet. Folks try and control things that go on here and in the end It will be God who lines up how it will end. I agree there is much going on and it is getting unrecognizable from the days of the 1950's I grew up in. It grows stranger to me by the year. I spent close to 12 years with a ham radio for entertainment and was largely out of touch with the world and 2 or so years back my brother set up this satellite system and sent it to me and I was amazed at just how much had changed in a decade where I drove to town for fuel and a truck load of water as well as dry goods like sugar, flour and the likes so it was into town get the stuff and leave once a month. I have since added things like flour grinders and bulk storage of grains and sugar. I've been stashing 55 gallon barrels of gasoline and dry batteries, just anything I can think of I'll need to stay out of town for a year if need ever be. I have to tell you the world has me bothered by the direction things seem to be going.

saddlerider1, I hope I'm no sage soothsayer and this is just something my brain cooked up in the heat! I've been laying around in my hammock scribbling notes in a few binders over the last couple of years and when I get to a point where I think I have enough I intend on submitting it to a writer to see if there is the makings of such a novel. I hop about caving and going down mine shafts scattered through the hills, looking and digging as well as taking pictures of things written in the walls with dates into the 1890's from those who dug them. It is much fun. People had the sense of humor back then of the same type scribbled on gas station shit houses, it's amazing the stuff I find.

Hey 50...remember that Kruschev told us they would bury us, take us over and never fire a shot. The scenario lay out here is not such a stretch of the imagination. I heard rumors of Army units in the US already receiving training in riot and crowd control???? In general, the vast majority of Americans go to bed at night believing that nothing sinister can happen here because we are the good guys. Unfortunately, most of them cannot recognize the bad guys makes Kruschev's words a strong reality in this day and time. Thanks for good hub! WB
Wayne, Kruschev wasn't lying nor dreaming. I think they have an operative in the white house. The rumors of the Army units are true, Bush activated NorCom. Army troops that have been cross training with U.S. LEO agencies and it was announced in the "Military Times" web site a short time before the 2008 elections, it drew a lot of negative flack and they took it down. I'll try and find the reference where it was posted on several companies I train with for High Risk Civilian Contractors. I believe with all my heart that in the near future people who believe we can't be had from inside the borders are in for a rude awakening. Me and Schultz,see nothing and say nothing! LOL.

I always listen when you write @50 you are a wise and intelligent man. The situation in America is getting worse by the second. And the scenario you just described is exactly what's coming. These jackholes KNOW what they are doing. It's gonna be up to us; the people to come together and fight against this tyranny. Unfortunately the vast majority of us are still asleep. Today it was revealed that there are new orders for the head of NASA, to make the muslim world "feel good about their historic contributions to sience and technology" and to improve relations with the muslim world. It was also made known that even though the current administration continues to blame President Bush for the policies that allowed and encouraged deep water drilling to take place, president obama had the opportunity to uphold a court ruling that would have placed a moratorium on such drilling. As events unfold it may come to pass that you are in fact a modern day Paul Revere. Keep sounding the alarm!
fred allen, well I wished that surprised me to hear, all this trying to make adjustments to our foundation to include those who preach "Jihad" against this country, but then so does rev wright, the chiefs go to man during the campaign of 2008, and after that passed he started visiting mosques instead. It's all smoke and mirrors leading us to a game of push and shove I hope stays on paper, but I cannot see it ending well for us at all.

Pretty dark picture Dusty. I can't say I agree with the Obama stuff. I do believe he is in some people's pockets, but then again, every politician is. Think about it. Even for something like a governor's race, people decide to run based on the amount of money they can raise to run. It clearly shows that any belief anyone has that this country is a democracy, is clearly not in touch with reality. Money makes this nation move, and corporations are taking control of it. They will pound the little man out until eventually your vote will come through a corporation you belong to or work for. This is somewhat true already with the electoral college system - states ultimately vote - not people. Honestly, most politicians don't give a dang about the people in Utah and South Dakota when New York, California and Texas have so many more "points" to win. I know people still talk about standing still while Iran engineers weapons grade nuclear material, but we cannot fight the whole world - and that is exactly what America is trying to do. Allen I'll agree we can't fight the world and this country has been slipping into the abyss for 50 years that I can remember well enough to point out. I do believe that it all is coming to a head and while I often push the negativity and seemingly the violence. I hope it never comes to the places I dream up, but God will allow it to a point and I don't have a clue what that point is, just that it will be short of complete destruction of His world that he did create. The part I like best is you and I essentially polar opposites can come together and have these conversations with respect for one another, I pray for you and maybe you for me and there will come a time, a season to look back and laugh at all this foolishness that was this world and wasted worry as I see in the end a one world government and socialism that compares to none that we will ever be able to see until Christ brings us home to live in it. I guess it's all coming. It's interesting to me though how EVERYBODY wants to protect this great land of ours. OOPS- MY BAD- Everybody wants to protect THEIR COUNTRY! America has never, ever, not once existed. As people believe and swear they wish for the old days - get over it folks - America is a state of mind. The courts never worked. Not from day one. Manifest Destiny started before ships left the old country. The Monroe Doctrine was to keep the Europeans out of our hemisphere so that good ole business boys could rape the entire North and South America, Central, Caribbean, etc.
America was established so that white men could be free to won blacks and kill red men and take Mexico's land as well as world domination because as we can see - THEIR GAME NEVER ENDS!

Billy, the politics of it all, amazes me but I'm not sure why. If I'm reading right, it looks as if the "oil leak scam" has been called off and I think it is due to the coming elections and the grim outlook that the obama team is going to fall from power. I feel the cap is such a simple move that it could have been done with in the first 30 days and it was held back, like McCrystals request for troops and supplies for a reason. I just haven't put together the "reason". I disconnected for 10 days myself and just stopped listening, I wish all was well but it isn't and I'm about ready to go back to the woods up north for another week or so of cool weather and disconnection. 50 I think much of the spill news was for political effect and the moratorium derailed some of that after it was flicked out. I have heard much about the US government's 5 million barrels as fiction to gain revenues - $1 to $4 a barrel fine will do that. It does fit in with a down hole scenario so the cap could be legit given the depth. We will see there. With regard to McCrytals that seems all posturing - to look decisive etc. More shocking job numbers and they downgraded the previous month to -200k from 100k todays was -130k -330k more out of work in 2 months. We are riding a rudderless ship.

Hey 50, Great eye opening hub. This is a scenario that I have seen unfolding for 30 years now, of course in the 80s it was the Ruskies from the cold war. I still hear the cry "WOLVERINES" as I think back on the movie "Red Dawn" which is very close to the same layout as your "fiction".
I agree wholeheartedly with you that the American public's complacency will be to blame in the end. It makes a person wonder just how many signs must unfold before a person's eyes before they start to smell the stench eminating from the puppets that are now running this country!
This scenario is something I have thought about most of my life, but I am afraid that many have not! I live within 20 miles of wilderness and there is never a shortage of water around here, but I fear we will see a great loss of lives in the cities and suburbs. From my understanding of the NWO, 80% population decrease is what these rats are shooting for, and if nothing is done soon...it looks like they will get it.

Whoa, this is scary. I was told that Obama said at some point during his campaign that he wanted a civilian police/army with greater manpower than our militar, and just assumed that was right wing hogwash.
The fact that this health care bill actually includes provision for a 'Presidential Army' is beyond frightening. And the part here about a small town getting Cobra helicopters, Humvees, etc... is that real? Or a fictionalized supposition?

If you chose to OPT out of it, they, the FEDS, forbid all higher educational institutions from checking your child's scores for admittance. All and any information is forbidden to be released of your child even information for the year book.
So you see if you don't let them get access to your child in school, they will not let anyone get access info including those that need to for your child's betterment!
If you chose to OPT out you also need to write letters to be put into your child's records that allows colleges and such to see your child's scores to see if your child can get a scholarship etc. You have to write a letter for each and every access point, colleges, year book and photographer of school year books, job applications,and more. They make it really hard for your child to advance if you OPT OUT of "No Child Left Behind"!
If you have a child in school, and you have not signed to"Opt" your child out, the military has control of training your child in school at any time and once your child turns 17, they have the right to take your child out of school for any military training or education at any time they want right to driving your child home after it is over. Parents you better read the no child left behind agenda really well.

Dear 50Caliber- I respect your views, I really do. You are a very intelligent man, but why would the government want to put us in a FEMA camp? How would they get their taxes to keep them going if no one is out in the world working? They always say "follow the money". When you do that you begin to see that having people locked up in a camp is costly, you have to feed these people and give them medical care and the list just goes on.
And, no matter what they do, they will never take our guns away in this country. There are too many guys out there just like you who would fight to the death to keep their guns. What I think they might do is simply stop the supply of ammo. That would easily disarm the American public with very little fuss, and if they wanted to do that, they would have done it already.
Secondly, if the government really wanted to take over an area, all they have to do is turn off the lights. Most people would have no idea how to cope without electricity. It would be massive chaos.
I do believe in a NWO and I believe it is sinister as all hell. I think Obama is probably their puppet. Do you really believe those banks needed to be bailed out? Those same banks that charge 25% on your credit cards? Give me a break! If they can't make a profit on the credit cards, then they should go out of business. That bail out was a big scam on the American people.
Maybe they just want to make us all so poor that we end up starving to death?

magnoliazz, I agree with your sentiments, as far as taxes go. This is dated as the flow of oil was postponed. I could see them doing it merely for providing a large portion of beach to land U.N. troops to try and over take the resistance to the "New World Order", a reality in which taxes won't matter as they will turn the lights off nation wide, leaving supporters surprised saying "We did what?" as there will be no loyalty to any one group, not even to blind supporters of the new order as they would still harbor a memory of what they sold out thus being a possible group to create an under ground resistance in the future when they see and feel the truth. Just my loose thoughts on an event coming one day. Meant more to stir thoughts of folks that are not thinking right now and we all need to think come November and get it right.

James, thank you for the comment and laudatory content. I really don't like the thought of all that seems to be going on and the cold silence of the people of the USA. I'm hoping to hear and see them speaking out through the ballots in November. I believe we can survive an obama, the real question is "can we survive the mentality of those who put him in office to begin with" that is the thought that bothers me more than any other issue at this time. The voters who blindly vote and fight for a party, regardless of the price. I just witnessed the woman who frankly questioned obama, I think it was Velma Hart. It looked good at the onset but she quickly dismissed her stance while on the air with tingly legged Mathews and fell back in line stating she was happy with obama's remarks. How crazy is that?

Great write! I too find too many loop holes within Presidential directives. What about “Operation Garden Plot?” This gives some serious ammo to Homeland Security as designed under Bush, first formed under Nixon of all people. We have had some good Presidents that we didn’t fear having this kind of power, like Reagan, but B.H.O., no thanks. There is also Executive order 51, another dark level of centralized, totalitarian power management. There is a reason I like being in Arizona friend. You have the right idea.

50, I've been wrting on this same "possibility", more or less, since my first attempt at a science fiction novel (never completed), back in '70 or thereabouts. At that time, when Hell broke loose, our plan (cooked up between my first father-in-law and me) was to gather our families and hit for his old mining claim in the mountains outside of Deer Lodge, Montana. Not that far from "civilization", but defensible--and with an old mine shaft that didn't look ready to drop the hanging any time soon and went far enough underground to make things interesting.
Just saying, the two of us could see trouble a-comin', even then.
Since then, I've divorced his daughter (and five other men's daughters along the way), he's caught himself a case of Alzheimer's and been in a nursing home for some time, all that. But as you understand right clearly, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
One of the best things that's happened in the interim was my second bankruptcy. Before things started getting tight in the late 1990s, I had a pretty comfortable set of shooting irons. Would sometimes wonder, if I had to slim down for light traveling, which pieces would I save for last, for survival?
Found out. Had to pawn the rest before filing that bankruptcy.
Best learning one could ever ask for. Cut-and-run can be done now in minutes at most without sacrificing a single thing of importance.
Ghost, I roll with a bug out bag in every vehicle with 72 hrs of rations and my choice of rifle. Never know when you might have to leave the vehicle and hoof it, maybe all he way home. I've got water stashed in places along the route I walk to town for tryouts to make sure I can get by going that route, I remember a time I could do it in a day, no more of that, it'll take me two and I ration for three just in case I can't steel another car to get as far as it will take me.
Looks like they'll mess around and start this stuff way past my prime to do much good, so I hope to find one worthy to pass this mess on to, 50

First I agree that you should make this into a novel I would be one of the first to buy a copy.Second I have a feeling that you may be on to something, I read an article when I was in my teens about a group of people who formed their own 'army' to come into play to protect American citizens if something like this ever happened. I must say that this does make me feel safer knowing that people like that are there if something like this happens. I do think that America is headed down the wrong path and has been for a while, and no politician is going to fix it, it has to be us the people who finally reach our breaking point and do what needs to be done. Lisa Marie, I wouldn't know how to do a novel or novelette for that matter. There are more people than you know setting on go for this occasion, far from an army, none the less we are scattered about with a plan, then plan 2 if plan one fails. It will take a financial melt down to kick it all off, that will be the breaking point for one and all I'm afraid. When the big rigs stop moving and the infrastructure grinds to a halt, when people get hungry then angry it will begin in mass rioting and military intervention, sad times I feel are ahead.

Wesman, there are currently 34 states that honor my carry permit as long as I comply with their state mandates. I've been meaning to write a part two to this post. I have a list of castle doctrine or stand your ground laws by state, and it is granted by the states, as it should be.
The federal government did the same thing in 1990 to force states to require motorcycle helmets for all riders or face the withdrawal of the states being given back their own money for highway infrastructure repairs.
It would be laughable but it's not funny. After 20 years of no helmets California and other states folded and implemented a helmet law. Turned out there were no "real" tests done to make them "DOT" approved safe. So a few started selling stickers to apply to the back of the helmets stating they were "DOT" approved, so we stuck stickers on batters helmets and I stuck one on my flight helmet for helicopters and the cops didn't know what to do with an unenforceable law, we had fun for a year or so and I don't know how it turned out because I left. Arizona held their ground and we don't have to wear them here, anyway here is a list of states and the language in their constitutions in this regard:

They are going to back Americans into a corner, and I believe on purpose, to cause an up rising that will give them cause to call for "Martial Law" and put NATO troops on our streets to attempt to enforce it. They will go to NATO because our own troops will most likely not follow Unconstitutional orders as it is or was in my day, standard wording that we follow "legal orders" only. I don't know what is taught now days. I'm just glad I live out side the mouse trap and if I keep my head down I can die of old age and watch with my telescope how it works out for the youngsters. I see many ugly things coming and I'm glad I'm at the age and in position to weather it.
I thought 20 years ago it was coming soon, and it didn't, and I hope I'm wrong now and America mends it's ills. The Martin shooting has been tried to be used to set an example but in the end if all works legally Zimmerman will not be charged and bound over for trial or he will be acquitted. The 911 tapes thay were released had been trimmed and I heard them in their entirety as well as an eye witness account of Zimmerman taking a beating and was on the bottom when the shot was fired. So we can only wait and see if justice is served.
